Supporting Home-Start Exeter and East Devon
At Leads To You we’re always keen to use our in-house expertise to support local charities and good causes where we can. So starting this summer we have teamed up with Home-Start Exeter and East Devon, a local charity based nearby to our offices in Exeter.
Home-Start are a great charity who offer friendship and support for families going through difficult times through their team of volunteers who visit those families in their own homes. With more families than ever requesting their assistance, the need to recruit more local volunteers is a continual challenge.
Our main focus at Leads To You is to help households to make savings through home improvement and the more efficient use of energy. We are excited to be working closely with Home-Start as there is a great deal of synergy between our organisations.
We will be using our digital marketing expertise to build a bespoke campaign on Facebook which will be designed to attract local people to volunteer to join the Charity. They are looking for friendly, caring and non-judgemental people who have parenting experience, live within 15 miles of Exeter and are able to volunteer for at least 2 hours each week.
The Facebook campaign will also look to inspire potential business partners to support Home-Start, in a similar way to ourselves, either financially or through the provision of much-needed support.
Our Managing Director, Justin Elliott said, “We were keen to support a local charity involved in the welfare of families in our home area and Home-Start Exeter and East Devon provides essential support to local families going through difficult times. They were keen to mount a campaign to attract more volunteers and we are particularly pleased to be able to assist by using our experience of digital marketing to help such a good cause.”
Home-Start Exeter and East Devon will be running their next round of preparation courses for volunteers each Monday from 25th September until 6th November (excluding half-term, 23rd October). We will be running the Facebook campaign on the run up to these dates to give prospective volunteers time to prepare for one of those courses.
The Chair of the Trustees, Jan Campbell Young from Home-Start Exeter and East Devon, said, “We are absolutely delighted to have Leads To You on board. Their digital marketing expertise will be essential to help us expand our team of volunteers as well as to assist our search for business partners who may like to support the charity either financially or through goods and services in kind. For only £1,000 per year, a family can be supported, potentially in a life changing way. I think both organisations are looking forward to building a long-lasting relationship.”
Anyone interested in joining Home-Start Exeter and East Devon as a volunteer, or becoming a business partner can contact the charity either through Facebook or direct on 01392 826299.
