On Thursday 9th March our Email Marketing Executive, Alicia Harrington, was invited to the House of Commons to represent the South West YAAN and Leads To You to celebrate National Apprenticeship Week.
Alicia joined Leads To You in March 2017 as a Level 3 Digital Marketing Apprentice. In her first year Alicia spent her time assisting the rest of the marketing team whilst studying and building up evidence for her units.
Since completing her apprenticeship, Alicia has developed a vast range of skills and has since progressed from Digital Marketing Assistant to Email Marketing Executive, managing all of Leads To You’s email communications.
In 2018 Alicia joined the South West Young Apprentice Ambassador Network as an Apprentice Ambassador and now sits as the head of the marketing and communications team. Within her role in the YAAN Alicia goes into schools and attends events to tell her apprenticeship story and spread the word about the benefits of apprenticeships to both employers and individuals. Alicia also leads the social media and marketing campaigns for the SW YAAN as well as managing the internal communications with ambassadors.
For National Apprenticeship Week 2019, Alicia was invited to represent the South West YAAN and Leads To You at the House of Commons for the ‘Apprenticeships, Skills and Careers for the Future’ event. There were over 150 attendees and the day included a networking lunch and talks from Eileen Milner, CEO of the ESFA, Dr Neil Bentley-Gockmann, CEO of the World Skills Show and many more, including Young Apprentice Ambassadors from other regions across the UK.
